As you can see, I took a brief blogging hiatus because we decided to up and move (and just a few days before Christmas at that)... So with the stress and fatigue that comes along with moving homes for a family of 5, also comes the excitement of decorating a fresh palette! My brain is in decorative overload right now as I prepare to settle our family room by room. There is still a TON to do (and an entire 2 car garage of boxes to unpack!), but never fear! I plan on sharing with you all the fine details of how I plan on decorating.
Until then, here are some tips on how to get that HGTV fixer upper style incorporated into your home. Love farmhouse decor? Want some shabby chic accents added in your laundry room? Then is definitely the post for you!

When decorating my home for the holidays, I love mixing my store bought stash with thrifty home made pieces, kids art, and thrift store finds. I hit a killer sale at Micheals not too long ago and stocked up on their 70 percent off canvases (you can always use their weekly 40 off coupons!). So once again, I got on Pinterest for ideas and came up with a few looked easy enough to try... the canvases of the kids hand/footprints were done a few years back. Love these as they are such sweet keepsakes, and make great gifts for grandparents. This is such a thrifty project, as everything was marked WAY down, and acrylic paints are 59 cents a pop! Stay tuned to see how I incorporate these into my Fall decor!
